Seems like a lot of fashion designers are taking the leap into beauty. First, Marc Jacobs' beauty launched in Sephora today and now Michelle Obama's go to designer, Jason Wu has announced a beauty collection. Wu's beauty collaboration with Lancôme will be offered exclusively as Nordstrom. the collection will feature 15 prices with 3 eye shadows, dark navy mascara, and many red lipsticks and nail polishes.
The collection will launch in September during New York fashion week and is expected to take in $1 million during the first 2 months of debut.
Wu said in an interview with WWD, "I think make-up is one of the closest parts to fashion - it goes hand in hand in almost every single case. When you have great hair and make-up, it brings out the clothes even more" and "[e]very little detail has been customized and designed for this collaboration, so it feels very special and complete"
Lancôme previosuly collaborated with L'Wren Scott, Jenny Packham and Lanvin's Alber Elbaz.
